GameRant recently had the chance to interview Tade Ajiboye, the developer of Go North, the atmospheric maze adventure game developed by one-man studio gazuntype, currently available on Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Game Store on July 28.

In the interview, Tade discusses his inspirations and beginnings as a game developer, as well as the iterative process of finding the visual identity for Go North. “Finding the right visual direction was pretty difficult…” says Tade, “The only thing I knew was I wanted it to look beautiful; I wanted the experience of exploration and discovery to feel beautiful.”

Go North is home to a world of colorful and relaxing mazes. Play as Dara, an explorer known as a Littler, searching for the Maze God who will grant the wish of anyone who can complete all the mazes crafted by the Maze Makers. The game is made to create a sense of peace and quiet, but there’s room for a little competition as the multiplayer mode sees players racing with friends to complete mazes.

Go North is currently available to purchase on Xbox Series X | S, and PC via either Steam or the Microsoft Game Store, with a planned version for the Nintendo Switch in the near future. For more updates on Go North, make sure to follow gazuntype and GameRant on X.
