IGN reports for duty highlighting a brand-new trailer for Airport Contraband, the roguelike Customs Officer simulation game from DRAGO entertainment with a public playtest arriving January 2026, as announced in the Winter OTK Games Expo.
Check out the playtest trailer for Airport Contraband, a roguelike customs officer simulation game developed by DRAGO Entertainment. Step into the role of an airport customs officer at the tropical travel hub of Caldora Airport. Scan for identification documents, check luggage for illegal goods, and search every nook and cranny in aircrafts for prohibited items.
Take on the duties of a Customs Officer at Caldora Airport, a tropical travel hub with a blurry line between duty and greed. Guide passengers and cargo through the airport in an orderly manner by verifying passenger travel documents, enforcing rules, and searching luggage for prohibited items.
Or… perhaps seek a piece of the pie and earn quick cash by working with the local cartel. Accept bribes from smugglers, keep illicit cargo transfers off the books, and waylay innocent travelers. There’s a bevy of ways to earn dirty money, each posing significant risk and placing the Officer’s life into question…
Prepare for unruly travelers who refuse to cooperate. When suspects turn combative or try to slip away, only the trusty taser and handcuffs can end the conflict. Conduct chemical tests and X-ray scans on suspicious luggage to thwart smugglers adept at avoiding detection. Unlock new tools like knives, UV lamps, and crowbars to help uncover contraband and ensure public safety.
Each shift in Airport Contraband’s roguelike structure provides a chance to earn rewards and upgrades. As each new day begins, build on past experiences, lessons, and decisions to shape the future of Caldora Airport.
“Airport Contraband combines the simulation gameplay that we’ve developed in Gas Station Simulator with the ever-changing nature of roguelikes – each shift on the job is different, and you’ll have to make important, on-the-fly decisions that will impact your future,” said Joanna Tynor, CEO at DRAGO Entertainment. “This playtest will serve as the first opportunity to receive feedback directly from the community.”
Sign-ups for the January 2026 playtest for Airport Contraband are open now, allowing players to experience life on the job at Caldora Airport for the first time. Stay tuned to the Steam page and follow DRAGO on X/Twitter for more details as they become available.
