The cult classic POSTAL series is getting its first ever comic run, and The Escapist has the latest news!
Running With Scissors has teamed up with Roditeli Productions for the first-ever official POSTAL comic series, with a 19-page digital preview available now ahead of its planned debut later in 2026. And no, this apparently isn’t going to be the moment the Postal Dude finally settles down and begins making sensible life choices. The comic finds him attempting to make his way through an apparently ordinary Monday before an advert for a sinister dating app sends his already questionable grip on reality hurtling towards another conspiracy-fueled meltdown.
The POSTAL series is known for its over-the-top violence and frenetic gameplay. But it is also notable for the wild story beats that take place, most notably the aptly named POSTAL Dude and his constantly spiraling mind state that leads to these violent outbursts. Putting this all in a comic book just makes sense. It’s the perfect medium for the outlandish visual style of the series and could potentially be right up there with The Mask comics in terms of dark humor.
The comic series is being produced and co-written by Kevin Roditeli, whose previous credits include SWAT Kats, X-O Manowar, and Bad Omens: Concrete Jungle, alongside Freak Snow and Anime Animay writer Rob Cannon. The project is heading to Kickstarter today, August 11, with a funding target of $100,000. Roditeli Productions says the money will go towards artwork, printing and producing rewards for backers. Among those rewards will be a Kickstarter-exclusive hardcover edition containing premium printing and additional content that won’t be released outside the crowdfunding campaign. Naturally, there will also be POSTAL merchandise, including T-shirts, pins and art prints.
The POSTAL comic series is slated to release in late 2026.
