IGN has the latest on the launch trailer for the 1.0 release of Conch Ship Games’ The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome.

Players will explore the vibrant lands of Shenzhou, packed with a new world map, variation in biomes, and more, as the game leaves Early Access. The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome is launching on June 17 for PC (Steam)

The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome is an open-world sandbox RPG inspired by ancient Chinese myths and folklore. As the heir of the Taiwu clan, players will take on the challenge of building up the clan and village in preparation of taking on the Taiwu Clan’s greatest enemy, Xiangshu, in a final battle that will determine the future of both factions.

The trailer features narration that explains the heir’s mission with clips of gameplay focused on the city building and gameplay. It also makes a point to emphasize the progression of time and resources for the Taiwu villages. Time can be put into these villages to help them prosper, or the people of the village can be left to their own devices. Thousands of NPCs have their own life experiences. They can get live, get old and eventually pass away. It would be beneficial to focus on the growth of the communities to aid in the battles to come.

Train in thousands of martial arts techniques to build skills and combat repertoire. Gain or lose connections with other characters that can either strengthen the heir’s position or weaken it. Grow industry in each village and reap the rewards of the people’s work. All of these functions will prove pivotal in the battles to come with Xiangshu and his forces.

The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome is out in full 1.0 status now for PC Via Steam.
