The horror experts at Bloody Disgusting recently shared info on the first public playtest of DREADMOOR, the dark fishing adventure set in a post-nuclear apocalypse world developed by Dream Dock Games and published by Digital Vortex Entertainment. Previously only playable at in-person events, the DREADMOOR playtest is available on PC via Steam through May 25, and gives you the opportunity to sample the basic gameplay loop ahead of its planned launch in Q3 2026.

Wishlisted by more than 200,000 people, DREADMOOR lets you explore the mutated bayou of the Submerged Lands as you attempt to reel in a big enough catch to turn a profit and survive long enough to spend it. Use your funds and scavenge parts to transform your leaky tub into a first-class trawler, but remember, in the Submerged Lands, there’s always a bigger fish.

Dreadmoor’s public playtest is currently available on PC via Steam through May 25 ahead of its planned launch in Q4 2026.
