CaseOh dives into the demo of DRAGO Entertainment’s upcoming Airport Contraband and found himself fully immersed in its world.
Airport Contraband is a roguelike simulation game where players take on the role of a Customs Officer at Caldora Airport. The goal is fairly simple on its face: Meet travelers at the gate, check them for contraband and make decisions on whether or not they are suitable for travel. The game offers a choice though, handle things correctly and by the book, or venture into the darker side of things and let some not-so-legal items slide in service of making a quicker buck.
CaseOh’s gameplay starts in the early stages of the game, learning the ropes and how to check potential passengers. With his signature style of gaming, he speaks in a first-person perspective humorously narrating his experience. Multiple people come through with all manner of questionable items, including an award for 1997’s Most Suspicious Passenger. Seems a pretty easy decision to make. The complexity in the game comes with tasks that must be completed for both the airport and the cartel. In one situation, he has to confiscate a toy from a woman because he needs four for the cartel.
In Airport Contraband, as the game advances, the methods by which would-be criminals will attempt to slip by become more complex. Eventually, X-ray will come into play as well as chemical tests, and the option to look the other way may end up being more and more enticing as time passes. In those situations where gamers are not inclined to look past some of the more unsavory actions, a taser and handcuffs become available as well.
Airport Contraband’s demo is available to download now on Steam and it’s slated for a release in Q2 2026.
