Eurogamer recently revealed the launch date for Agent 64: Spies Never Die, the N64-inspired first-person shooter by solo developer Replicant D6, launching on PC via Steam on Aug. 11. Accompanied by an awesome new trailer, Eurogamer also took this opportunity to share what we can expect in the release version of the low-poly espionage FPS.
Wearing its inspiration on its immaculately tailored sleeves, Agent 64: Spies Never Die is a martini-fueled love letter to console gaming of the 1990s. Playing as Secret Agent John Walter, gamers will take on 14 missions in a variety of environments, from snow bases to nightclubs. In addition to its single-player campaign, Spies Never Die will also feature local co-op and PvP modes, with support for up to 8 players online and optional bot opponents.
Single and multiplayer matches can also be customized with a collection of over 70 nostalgic cheats and modifiers. Embrace chaos with random weapon changes in Paradox Mode, or adopt a purely hands-on approach with “Slappers-Only”.
A free demo for Agent 64: Spies Never Die is still available on Steam through Aug. 9, but the full version arrives on PC via Steam on Aug.11. For more updates on this awesome, retro-inspired shooter, make sure to follow both Eurogamer and Replicant D6 on X.
