As part of his PAX Online coverage, Peter Glagowski at TheGamer wrote an in-depth analysis of the reveal trailer for ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights, a challenging dark fantasy metroidvania from publisher Binary Haze Interactive and developers Live Wire and Adglobe. Headed to Windows PC via Steam as well as consoles in winter 2020, ENDER LILIES features a soundtrack from musical group Mili, which has composed and performed songs for anime franchises like Goblin Slayer and Ghost in the Shell as well as games including Cytus and DEEMO.

From the looks of things, Ender Lilies will possibly be a Metroidvania styled action game. There’s obviously going to be some comparisons to Dark Souls here, but I certainly see more Castlevania in its DNA. I’m more taken by the art direction, which bears resemblance to titles by Vanillaware. I have to wonder if its hand-drawn HD or just really high-resolution sprites.
