Bleeding Cool’s Gavin Sheehan got friendly with the scorpions, tigers, and sharks that will threaten players in the upcoming single-player survival game set in the 16th-century Caribbean islands, Survival: Fountain of Youth, aiming an Early Access release on Steam later this year.

Joining forces with Twin Sails Interactive, the developers at Odinsoft Inc were excited to share their latest trailer with the world highlighting the large variety of wildlife one can expect to share valuable resources with and potentially fend off. With more than 20 unique islands to explore, structures to build, skills to improve, and a rich story to uncover Survival: Fountain of Youth is shaping up to make a big splash, especially for fans of survival games.

Awaken on the shores of an uninhabited archipelago and get to work securing shelter, food, and water. Stave off hunger, thirst, and dangerous diseases while exploring uncharted environments, scouring for clues to the missing crew’s location, and crafting weapons and tools to establish a base of operations. Combine myriad materials to assemble a wealth of useful items.
