Screen Rant‘s Deven McClure gets space-boots on the ground with a preview of One Lonely Outpost, the sci-fi farming sim set on a barren alien planet from Freedom Games, now available on PC via Steam Early Access.
The world is filled with artifacts like data logs and fossils that provide more backstory about where the company is building their colony and make things seem more immersive. There are many different resources, crafting blueprints, and cooking recipes to be discovered, many of which also maintain the same blend of industrial and naturalistic inspirations that help keep things feeling fresh.
There is a great deal of progression available when it comes to expanding the farmstead and furthering the narrative, and a unique blend of 2D and 3D art alongside a spacey soundtrack make for a satisfying sci-fi ambiance.
