The Indie Informer rolls out the red carpet for their most anticipated games of 2026, including LOVE ETERNAL, the unconventional horror platformer about escaping the domain of a selfish god from developer brlka and publisher Ysbryd Games, coming to PlayStation 5|4, Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Q1 2026.
Glancing over 2025’s most anticipated list, it was hard to imagine a better start to a year. Then I looked at 2026’s currently confirmed titles. The future is a swirl of tempting indie candies, and I’m the kid set loose in the shop.
Another long-awaited title I hoped to see launch last year, Love Eternal promises to hit in the next few months. I can’t wait. Beyond the bizarre and sinister tone lies gameplay as satisfying as it is challenging. You can read more of my impressions here.
When Maya leaves the dinner table to answer a phone call, she returns to find her family missing, her home destroyed, and her surroundings transmuted into an unfamiliar, eerie landscape reminiscent of the Iron Age. Seek a way out of this strange predicament by navigating the unpredictable liminal spaces and ignoring Earthly laws of physics – but not before confronting the powerful god responsible for her abduction.
Dash through the crumbling chambers of a labyrinthine castle, leaping, flipping, and strategically landing on the floors and ceilings of each puzzle-like room. Plan jump arcs carefully to make use of environmental boons that trigger Maya’s ability to flip gravity in midair, and avoid razor-sharp spikes, shifting lasers, and other deadly obstacles in precision platforming challenges.
