Aftermath recently dove headfirst into the green turf of Pro Jank Footy, the over-the-top arcade comedy-sports game where Aussie Rules Football goes rogue, currently available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Penned by Luke Plunkett, the sole Australian member of the Aftermath team, Luke revels in the fact that Austrailia’s national pastime is quite absurd by nature. A concept that Pro Jank Footy embraces with open arms.
Pro Jank Footy takes classic Australian Rules Football and fuses it with roguelite mechanics, where every score gives opposing teams a chance to choose from over 150 power-ups. Shrink the other team, turn them into a bunch of seagulls, or unleash a floating DVD screensaver that ends the game if it lands in the corner of the screen. Lead teams through a full season in Season Mode, challenge mates in online or local co-op, and unleash arcade carnage in a chaotic throwback to 90s arcade greatness.
