Stingbot Games’ first-person horror game Victor’s Video Vault gets a demo preview courtesy of CBR! Victor’s Video Vault is a horror game where the goal is survival. When the last customer leaves for the night, whatever movie they rented, takes over the store and twists it to its logic. Fight through the night and overcome the dangers of the last customer’s choice and make it to the next day, just to go through it all again.

Blockbuster is colliding with the Backrooms in Victor’s Video Vault, and Steam gamers can check it out for themselves now.

The free demo for Victor’s Video Vault from Stingbot Games has officially made its way online, and it is perfect for fans of liminal horror and survival horror experiences alike. The game tasks players with running a video rental store, one which transforms into whatever nightmarish landscape was featured in the final movie to walk out the door before the end of the shift.

While much of the tension and action in Victor’s Video Vault comes from evading and fighting back against the myriad of monsters that players will stare down during their playthrough, the game also offers plenty of chances for exploration. In Archive Mode, players will get to step back into the past and investigate exactly what kicked off the very first outbreak of paranormal phenomena within Video Vault. Throughout their playthrough, gamers can peruse the decidedly Blockbuster-like Video Vault, organizing tapes, sorting files and memos, and searching for answers about the mystery at hand.

Stingbot Games gives more than just survival; gamers can explore through Archive Mode and get a taste of the origins of the game. It’s a very unique set up as this isn’t something saved for DLC, its part of the game and more for people to do after regular playthroughs.
