Bleeding Cool’s Gavin Sheehan stopped by Ysbryd Games’ booth at PAX East to go hands-on with VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, the booze em’up about waifus, technology, and post-dystopia life with more than 200,000 copies sold on Steam from Sukeban Games.
VA-11 HALL-A is already available on Steam and PS Vita, but Gavin went into the demo unfamiliar with the game and quickly fell in love.
The game is kind of funky and kind of odd in places, but I fell in love with the story as cyberpunk titles have a special place in my heart with the way they can twist and bend the story and narratives on a whim because “the future.” I highly recommend checking it out on Steam if you’re into text adventures with a little bit of resource management crafting and a few points of not knowing what the hell is going on and trying to decide if you’re crazy.
VA-11 HALL-A is currently available on Steam and PS Vita in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese for $14.99.
