The Escapist‘s Em Stonham and Sam Smith are ready to share their haunted yearbook stories in their review of Demonschool, the school-life tactics RPG with hints of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Italian horror cinema from developer Necrosoft Games and publisher Ysbryd Games:
Combat felt snappy and engaging in Demonschool, with a great variety of enemies and bosses to tangle with. It was approachable to learn and pick up, but the game didn’t hesitate to punish any thoughtless actions in later battles, which made it even more rewarding.
Boss fights were a particular highlight … if you’re a sucker for unique creature designs, there’s plenty to get excited about here.
Demonschool is available now on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and includes language support for English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
