RockPaperShotgun’s Rachel Watts hand delivered their preview for the launch of Mail Time, an adorable cottagecore collect-a-thon platforming adventure from solo developer Kela Van Der Deijl and publisher Freedom Games, out now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Windows and Mac OS.
Deliver mail as a tiny carrier to bring a cozy community together, one letter at a time. Help fellow woodland neighbors with whatever troubles they might have, be it specific things like lost packages or even the needs of their everyday lives like a cute hat. Mail Time is a wholesome game with its unique art style, along with its combined simple, yet satisfying, platforming game mechanics, and vast customization options for any and all players to enjoy.
There’s so much I like about this game. I love the cottagecore vibes, the cosy patchwork-quilt forest you get to run around in, the character creator where you get to choose from some cute hairstyles and backpacks, and how its visuals look so warm like it’s a newly baked loaf of bread coming out of the oven. But the best thing about Mail Time is its cast of woodland locals. They are the best.
