Austin Wood of GamesRadar+ steels their nerves for the survival scenarios of WOLFHOUND, the sci-fi World War II Metroidvania from Chasm developer Bit Kid. Arriving on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 in 2025!
Shot from the sky during a reconnaissance mission of an entrenched Nazi base full of grotesque secrets, Chuck “Wolfhound” Rossetti must gather weapons and blast through patrolling soldiers, bestial fauna, and monstrous mutants in order to bring an end to a nightmarish affront to humanity.
I was already interested by this point, and my ears really perked up when I saw that devs from the delightful Shantae series and Freedom Planet 2 were on board as well. The retro soundtrack comes from Cave Story’s RushJet1 to top it off. Rossetti is described as a one-man army, and Bit Kid’s formed its own Metroidvania army with some of the greats.
