IGN has the latest trailer for Ghostcase Studio’s newest game, Dread Neighbor, the first-person psychological horror sequel to Dread Flats which sold more than 60,000 units in the first month.
In Dread Neighbor, you are a young woman who moves into a cheap, new apartment to save money. But something is wrong. From the closets, under the bed, through the cracks in the walls—you are being watched. Every corner feels alive with an unseen presence.
The trailer opens with a quick glimpse of a person standing off in the distance on a dark, rainy night before it quickly cuts to various scenes in the apartment with the sound of a ticking clock in the background. The trailer focuses on the atmospheric and creepy surroundings before revealing the game’s antagonist pursing players throughout the game. True to horror movie style, gamers won’t be totally unprepared and unarmed as they can pick up items to defend themselves as well as use parts of the environment to repel the masked stalker.
As the trailer intensifies, the creep factor amps up, featuring a suitcase that moves inexplicably while sitting in an elevator while the antagonist searches for the player while they hide under a table. Expect a high degree of stress and fear while playing as Ghostcase Studio ramps up the intensity from their previous title. Dread Neighbor arrives on PC via Steam as well, May 7, 2026.
