Wccftech has eyes on SpaceCraft, the online player-driven crafting, management, and exploration adventure set in the vast reaches of space. Shiro Games revealed the May 20th Early Access release date during the Triple-i Initiative showcase.
SpaceCraft sets players in a vast universe with multiple star systems, where you can freely explore and build your own space-faring ships to cross galaxies and endlessly explore new planets, while hunting and discovering valuable resources along the way. You’ll grow a small industrial force throughout your travels and establish bases on different planets and eventually choose to form your own corporation or join another to drive further connections across space.

Shiro Games plans on having StarCraft in Early Access for at least six months before the full release depending on player feedback and the progress of development. It will launch with a hefty amount of content, including the ability start or join a Corporation, build ships using crafted parts, jump between systems and more. Traveling through space is done in real time including landing on planets. Build bases and automate them to run when off on another planet, come back and reap the rewards. With a focus on the vastness of space, this could prove to be one of the more impressive features in the game.
“SpaceCraft is about giving players the tools to shape a living, player-driven universe at their own pace,” said Nicolas Cannasse, chief executive officer of Shiro Games, in a press release. “Whether you focus on industry, trade, or exploration, every decision contributes to a larger ecosystem when Early Access begins next month.“
