Screen Rant took their turn at reviewing Evolution Board Game, the strategy game of adaptation from North Star Digital Studios with more than 3 million players worldwide across physical and digital editions, for Nintendo Switch. Reviewer Laura Gray noted how this version contains plenty of modes for offline play, including campaign, pass-to-play local multiplayer and weekly challenges, as well as the core online modes.

The overall playability of Evolution Board Game is well crafted, avoiding common pitfalls seen in ports…Evolution has many moving parts, from food tokens to the cards that players use to create their species. These are all implemented in a way that is easy to view and keep track of.
