Jody Macgregor at PC Gamer shared the reveal and release date of Project_Hel an expansion to Ghostrunner, the first-person cyberpunk parkour action game from global publisher 505 Games, as well as developers and partners One More Level, All In! Games, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks™. starring Hel, one of the original games’ bosses, as she fights through six new levels.
While the original Ghostrunner was known for its “one hit and you’re dead” playstyle and a challenging journey to the top of a Dharma City, Project_Hel reverses that path. Hel’s bloody quest has her descend through the city. She can withstand two hits before death while battling new enemies and bosses and even has her own ability system.
Project_Hel was originally planned to be a smaller DLC, but has now grown into a full expansion. As the name suggests, it will let you play as Hel, Ghostrunner’s second boss. Where Jack, the protagonist of the base game, was climbing Dharma Tower to confront the Keymaster at its peak, she’s descending it for reasons of her own, fighting new enemies and bosses along the way. Hel has her own progression system too.
Project_Hel is scheduled for release on January 27th, 2022. Check out the Project_Hel Teaser Trailer below:
