Michael McWhertor at Polygon shares the news of a new Ghostbusters game on its way to consoles and PC in 2022.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the 4v1 hunt or haunt supernaturally-charged video game from the asymmetrical multiplayer experts at IllFonic, is headed to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games store later this year. Team up with friends (against another friend!) as you try and stop the ghost from haunting civilians. Take hold of iconic weapons and gadgets such as Proton Packs, Particle Throwers and Ghost Traps as you track the enemy ghost through walls and inside various objects like mop buckets and “wet floor” signs.
Players can customize their Ghostbuster and use unique loadouts, implementing various strategies to corner one of four ghosts.
