The Sixth Axis’s Aran Suddi is ready to throw down in Anarkade, a platform fighter by developer Pixelatom and publisher Blowfish Studios coming to PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 23, 2024.

The throwback arcade aesthetic is a perfect complement to Anarkade‘s wild antics – six different types of procedurally generated stages serve as arenas for the melee, each with unique hazards ranging from low-gravity antics to icy and slippery surfaces and more. It’s not just the levels that are unique either, with customizable avatars adding a personal flair to the fight.

Players start each round with a randomly assigned weapon, and must fight each other and break crates to expand their options – after all, it’s hard to come out on top against bowling bombs and rocket launchers with just a knife in hand. Or maybe a close-range melee option is what’s preferred if the map gives a lot of tight corners to skirmish in – ones that can easily catch the unprepared in their own explosions.

Anarkade‘s features include couch and online multiplayer for up to four fighters, one-on-one matches, deathmatches, tournament matches, and even Cratebox loot-collection.

“Anarkade is a fun, fast-paced party game at heart,” said Javier Arias, Founder and Lead Developer, Pixelatom. “We’ve crafted a balanced experience, mixing action, shooting, and platforming with unpredictable scenarios that make for an dynamic, ever changing experience for shooters to play over and over again.”

Anarkade launches on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game will launch with cross-platform support, and language support for English, Spanish (Latin American and Spain), Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), French, German, and Russian.
