A once-prosperous land now shrouded in darkness, cursed to live in a colorless exile of monochromatic blacks and whites. Raise a massive halberd as Europa, a young operatic warrior who has set out to restore the now glib world to it’s former chromatic splendor. Scour the 11 regions fighting off hordes of gruesome enemies in rhythmic combat fashion. Switch off between Europa and her teddy bear companion Apino for devastating combo attacks, taking down more than 20 different bosses. Channel the power of the Greek gods using elemental armors, magical spells, and music to bring back color to a dreary nation.
Freedom Games and Halberd Studios revealed this week that Nine Years Of Shadowsis set to be released this November. This is a colorful pixel art Metroidvania that will take you back to a particular era in gaming, where you’ll be tasked with trying to break a curse spread across the land with he help of a ghostly partner. The game is currently set to make its debut on PC on November 14th, 2022, with a Nintendo Switch version on the way in Q1 2023.
