Hey Poor Player recently previewed the demo for Genopanic, the mysterious cosmic adventure and developer Mobirate’s sequel to Space Expedition, coming to mobile and Steam in Q4, with demos ready to play now!

Inspired by Metroidvania games of the past, Genopanic utilizes the conditions of a space station located in the cosmic abyss of outer space to its advantage with maps filled with twists and turns, mischievous environments, intergalactic enemies, and secrets to find. Take a look at what Hey Poor Player had to say about Genopanic in a spinet of their preview down below:

The whole chibi vibe permeates the entire demo, but somehow doesn’t dissipate the excellent atmosphere present. It actually reminds me a lot visually of a game calledXeodrifter. A big part of the appeal is the really fantastic sound design. An ominous cloud of dread and mystery hangs over the game, and it’s clear something fishy is going on. Not only are there zombies and alien creatures running about, but the AI drones appear to have taken on a life of their own. One even displays a hologram of what appears to be a threatening catgirl. There’s also a very plucky puppy AI that gives you your marching orders, which reminded me fondly of Gato Roboto.
