IGN’s Matt Purslow prepares for an adventure through the storied land of Dewr in No Place For Bravery, the story-driven action-RPG from Glitch Factory and Ysbryd Games exploring the lengths we’d go to recapture what we hold dear. No Place For Bravery heads to PC and Nintendo Switch on September 22.
“The 2D soulslike features fast combat that places a strong emphasis on parries, much like FromSoftware’s Sekiro.”
“The 2D soulslike features fast combat that places a strong emphasis on parries, much like FromSoftware’s Sekiro. As Thorn, you’ll explore a wretched, grim world where death lurks behind every corner. Your journey to investigate your daughter’s disappearance will see you accompanied by your disabled foster son, Phid. The concept promises themes of compassion and parental responsibility amidst the encrounching darkness, so perhaps we’ll see parallels to God of War as well as Sekiro and Dark Souls.
No Place for Bravery was shown as part of the Guerrilla Collective back in 2020, and here on IGN developer Pedro Machado also walked us through how the game works.”
